In VIDIZMO, a course is a compilation of different media types such as videos, documents, audio, quiz, images, survey, and polls through Media Management that are accumulated together in the form of a plan to aid in learning. Learners can also import external courses such as SCORM. The aim of conducting courses is to facilitate learning, generate awareness, dissipate knowledge, etc.

Here is how you can create a course:


1. To create a course, click on the Add New Media (+) icon. You will be redirected to the Add New Media page. 

2.  From here, click on the Create Course box.

3. On the Course Management page:

i. Enter the title of your course.

ii. Select the media you wish to add to the course.

iii. To add media, drag and drop your selected content to the list box on the left side. 

Note: You can also change the sequence of your added content in the list if required.

4. As you are done with adding content, click Next to proceed.

5. You will be redirected to the Media Settings. At the Basic tab: 

i. Review the title of your uploaded course. Edit if required.

ii. Select a category from the dropdown menu. This will help you in classifying your content on the basis of shared characteristics.

iii. Enter tags to increase your media's search visibility.

iv. Enter a description for your uploaded course. Your description is a detailed account of the certain or salient aspects, characteristics, or features of a subject matter or uploaded media.

Note: The course thumbnail would be automatically captured from the first content. However, if you wish to change the thumbnail, then refer to this article.

Now, click on the Publish tab.

6. At the Publish tab:

i. Select the Player from the dropdown menu. By default, all media are assigned VIDIZMO as a player. 

ii. Select Pass all quiz(zes) to get certificate checkbox to set the Completion Criteria.

iii. Enable Sharing & Download. You can allow transcriptions, social sharing,  embedding,  downloading,  comments, and show stats.

iv. Select Auto-play first content checkbox.  This means that whenever a course is played, first content will start playing automatically. You can also select Allow viewing content in specified order to allow viewing content only in specified order. This means media in a course will be allowed to view in a specified manner.

Now click on Access tab and specify the settings.

7. At the Access tab:

i. Specify the accessibility of your uploaded media.  You can set the accessibility by selecting either of the option stated:  "All Account and Channel Viewers", "All Channel Viewers", "Specify Viewers/Groups" or "Anonymous Viewers".

ii. You can also set how users will access the media. Select From Channel Library checkboxthe media will then be available in the Channel Library, select Featured Media checkbox, to feature the media on Account Homepage checkbox. Note: All checkboxes can also be selected if required.

iii. You can set the availability of your media. To learn about media availability, click on How To Setup Media Availability.

Click on the Gamification tab. To learn more about gamification, click on What is Gamification.

8. At the Gamification tab: 

i. Set the level for the course. The cumulative points all of all modules in this course will appear below.

ii. Assign bonus points.

iii. Click on Save or Save and Close to save the settings and publish the course.

9. Your course is successfully published. Click on your created course to redirect to the Playback page.

10. Your course content will successfully load.
