video content follows the same basic process to get from camera to viewer, whether it is a single input source or a multi-camera HD facility for quality recordings. This process undergoes a series of steps, that help in creating a live stream: Capture, Encode, Distribute, and View. The component types may differ but these steps remain constant throughout.

For these steps, a minimum of four basic components are required:

1. Camera

2. Encoder

3. Streaming Server

4. Player

To learn how these components interact, click here on Understanding Live Streaming In VIDIZMO.

This article is about scheduling a Live Webcast in VIDIZMO directly from a Streaming Server or through an ECDN. If you are Streaming Live on the Corporate Intranet using ECDN or other internal live streaming infrastructure, then an ECDN and a Publishing Point needs to be configured (recommended) in the VIDIZMO application.

To learn more about ECDNs, click here on Understanding VIDIZMO ECDN and How To Setup VIDIZMO ECDN

It is also possible to setup a Publishing Point directly if you are not using ECDN. To learn more about Publishing Points, click here on How to Setup Publishing Point for Live Streaming in VIDIZMO.

If you are using an encoder to push the live stream, then you will also have to configure an Encoder. To Learn more about Encoders, click here on How To Capture Live Streams Using Wirecast
