By default, VIDIZMO uses its own secure SMTP server to handle incoming and outgoing email notifications in shared cloud (SaaS) environment. However, customers can choose to use their own corporate SMTP servers by contacting VIDIZMO customer support and providing the SMTP server credentials. In dedicated deployments, customers have the ability to configure these settings themselves either through Setup Wizard or by following these steps. 

In order to configure the SMTP, you will need Web Admin privileges. Click here on Understanding User Roles to learn more about user privileges in VIDIZMO.

Here are the steps ...

1. To navigate to the SMTP Settings screen, login as Web Admin and from the top navigation bar, select:

i) Web Admin link

ii) Then click on the SMTP link

2. You only need to setup the following to configure your emails:

i) SMTP Server

This is your corporate email server used for your emails.

ii) SMTP Port

Provide the port used in your corporate email server. In the example below, the port 587 is used.

Here are some commonly used ports:

SMTP - port 25 or 2525 or 587
Secure SMTP (SSL / TLS) - port 465 or 25 or 587, 2526 (Elastic Email)

iii, iv) SMTP User & Password

Provide the user name password of the email account that will be used to relay email messages.

v) Use the Enable SSL check box if your mail server is configured to use SSL.
