Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. In VIDIZMO, the HTTPS Only option allows you to always to use HTTPS protocol which ensures a secure connection where possible to encrypt your Account information or any data exchanged between your browser and VIDIZMO. This option is supported out of the box with subdomain or directory under SaaS model and does not require any additional steps other than checking this box. For all other configurations, you will require your SSL certificate for your domain or subdomain and work with VIDIZMO Support Team to get it configured.

To enable VIDIZMO to serve content over HTTPS, it needs to be configured in two places:

1. Configuring HTTPS From IIS

2. VIDIZMO Application

1. Configuring HTTPS From IIS

To configure HTTPS at the domain level, the Sites in the Web server need to be enabled for HTTPS in Website Bindings.

1. Login to your Content Server.

2. Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

3. From the IIS Manager dashboard and from the left panel:

i. Expand the Sites.

ii. Right-click on your Site to list actions.

iii. Click on the Edit Bindings to open the Site Bindings window.

iv. From the Site Binding's pop-up window, add a new Site Binding with "HTTPS" type to port 443. If port 443 is already added, but the "Type" is set to HTTP, change the "Type" to HTTPS.

The SSL Certificated should be issued to VIDIZMO Portal's domain e.g. If your VIDIZMO URL is "http://videos.yourdomain.com/corporate", the SSL Certificate should be issued to "videos.yourdomain.com".

2. Configuring HTTPS From the Application

Here's how you can configure HTTPS in the Application:

1. Login to your Account/ Channel.

2. From the top navigation, go to the Settings >> Branding screen.

3. Enable the checkbox against the "Always Use HTTPS", and everything gets configured to use HTTPS.

As VIDIZMO already has support for security during transmission of On-demand content, when the content is now viewed from the application (and if the Channel is SSL enabled), all the content will be served on HTTPS.
