The Administrators can change the approval settings for join requests as per their organizational requirements.
In this article, we will discuss 2 different approval settings for join request which are as follows:
i. Auto-approve join requests
ii. Approval required for join requests
Note: In case of Single Sign-On (SSO), there is a 3rd option of auto approval of join requests of Federate Users. To learn more about SSO, click VIDIZMO Single Sign-On.
Steps
Auto-approve join requests:
If you have set your approval settings as Auto-Approve, any user will be granted access as soon as he joins a Channel. Note that, by default; the user role of all new users will be specified as Viewer. However, if User Generated Content (UGC) option is configured for the Channel, the default user role will be Contributor.
1. At Account/Channel homepage, go to Admin >> Settings.
2. At the Settings page, click on the General tab.
3. Under Membership Type, select Public tab option. In Public tab membership option, Auto Approve is set for All Requests by default.

5. A message will appear stating: Channel details have been updated successfully.
Approval required for join requests:
This walkthrough will allow you to enable an approval mechanism for all join request received by an Administrator. An Administrator can either approve or reject join requests from Users & Groups tab. The default user role of the approved users will be Viewer. However, if User Generated Content (UGC) option is configured for the channel, the default user role will be Contributor.
1. At Account/Channel homepage, go to Admin >> Settings.
2. At the Settings page, click on the General tab.
4. Click on Update to save changes.
5. A message will appear stating: Channel details have been updated successfully.
